BPJS Ensures Optimal JKN Service During Eid Holiday Travel Period
Jakarta — BPJS Kesehatan is ensuring that services for participants in the National Health Insurance Programme (JKN) remain optimal during the 2026 Eid holiday travel period.
Prihati Pujowaskito, Chief Executive Officer of BPJS Kesehatan, stated that JKN service accessibility must be maintained for the public anytime and anywhere throughout Indonesia. To ensure citizens can continue accessing face-to-face administrative services, BPJS Kesehatan will keep branch offices open on 18, 20, 23, and 24 March 2026 from 08:00 to 13:30 local time.
“The Eid travel period must not hinder participants from obtaining healthcare services. BPJS Kesehatan ensures that JKN Programme services remain easily accessible, so people can travel with peace of mind knowing their health protection is guaranteed,” Pujo said at BPJS Kesehatan headquarters in Jakarta on Monday.
As part of support during the holiday travel period, BPJS Kesehatan is establishing Travel Service Posts at strategic locations to provide information, consultation, and service assistance to JKN Programme participants who need it during their journeys.
“The BPJS Kesehatan Travel Service Posts will be present from 13–16 March 2026 at Merak Port in Banten, Pulo Gebang Terminal in East Jakarta, Toll Rest Area 88A Cipularang in Purwakarta, Toll Rest Area 166A Cipali in Majalengka, Toll Rest Area 429A Ungaran in Semarang, Toll Rest Area 519A Masaran in Sragen, Purabaya Terminal in Sidoarjo, and Soekarno-Hatta Port in Makassar. The presence of these posts is expected to provide comfort for travellers whilst enabling participants to obtain information about JKN Programme services during their journeys,” he explained.
Akmal Budi Yulianto, Director of Membership at BPJS Kesehatan, noted that various administrative service access facilities are available during the Eid holiday period. Participants can utilise the Mobile JKN application to independently access administrative services, including updating participant data, changing Primary Healthcare Facilities (FKTP), and other administrative services without visiting BPJS Kesehatan offices.
To check membership status, participants can use the Mobile JKN application, Administrative Services via WhatsApp (PANDAWA), and Care Centre 165. This allows participants to ensure their membership remains active before travelling.
“We urge participants to verify that their membership status is active before travelling. Participants can also use various payment channels partnered with BPJS Kesehatan to pay premiums or settle outstanding payments, ensuring membership remains active and healthcare services are accessible without obstacles,” Akmal stated.
Abdi Kurniawan Purba, Director of Healthcare Assurance at BPJS Kesehatan, noted that JKN Programme participants can continue accessing healthcare services even whilst outside their home region. If health centres, clinics, or family doctors where participants are registered are closed or if participants are out of town, they can still receive healthcare at other BPJS Kesehatan partner FKTPs that remain operational.
“Information about healthcare facilities operating during the Eid holiday period can be accessed through the Healthcare Facility Search Application (Aplicares), allowing participants to identify the nearest healthcare facility that can provide services,” Abdi said.
BPJS Kesehatan also ensures continuity of service for participants with chronic conditions, including those in the Referral Return Programme (PRB). Participants can obtain chronic medications at hospitals or PRB medications at FKTPs in accordance with applicable regulations, ensuring their therapy continues uninterrupted during the Eid holiday period.
