BPJS Employment Facilitates 15 Buses to Support Ministry of Labour's Free Mudik Programme
The Employment Social Security Agency (BPJS Ketenagakerjaan) is facilitating 15 buses to support the free mudik programme for workers organised by the Ministry of Labour (Kemenaker).
BPJS Ketenagakerjaan Chief Executive Officer Saiful Hidayat revealed that the number of buses provided for the 2026 free mudik programme has increased compared to the previous year’s provision of 10 buses.
He stated that this support represents BPJS Ketenagakerjaan’s commitment to worker welfare, particularly during the Eid holiday period when workers return to their hometowns to gather with family.
Saiful emphasised that BPJS Ketenagakerjaan is committed to continuously supporting workers in various circumstances, from providing protection during work to enabling time with family.
In addition to providing buses, BPJS Ketenagakerjaan is also preparing mudik kits that include neck pillows, light snacks and beverages, first aid equipment, and mineral water.
“This collaboration represents inter-agency synergy in providing wider services and attention to workers,” said Saiful.
He added that BPJS Ketenagakerjaan will also support the mudik programme organised by the Ministry of Religious Affairs (Kemenag) and several regional governments, with coverage of approximately 1,000 workers.
“We appreciate the cooperation from our partners who have been working with the Ministry of Labour to facilitate the mudik programme, and we certainly hope this cooperation will continue. We want to be able to send as many workers as possible in this free mudik programme,” he said.
After returning from mudik, officials urged workers to return to work with renewed spirit and dedication.
“After completing the mudik, return to your respective workplaces and resume work with the best dedication to serve the nation,” they stated.
