BPJPH Strengthens Competency of Halal Supervisors Through Quality Improvement Programme
The Indonesian Halal Product Guarantee Agency (BPJPH), through the Deputy for Halal Product Guarantee Supervision and Guidance, conducted a Halal Supervisor Quality Improvement activity in Jakarta on Monday, 9 March 2026.
The Halal Supervisor Quality Improvement programme was attended by 100 halal supervisors from medium and large enterprises.
The activity aimed to improve the understanding and capacity of halal supervisors in carrying out their duties to oversee the implementation of the Halal Product Guarantee System (HPGS) in business environments consistently and in accordance with applicable regulations.
In his remarks, Deputy for Halal Product Guarantee Supervision and Guidance, EA Chuzaemi Abidin, emphasised that halal supervisors play a strategically important role in maintaining the integrity of halal products distributed in the community.
“The presence of halal supervisors serves as the frontline in ensuring that production processes remain in line with the established halal standards,” he said in a written statement.
“Therefore, strengthening internal oversight capacity at the business operator level is considered a crucial step in maintaining consistency in the application of halal standards,” he explained.
Through this activity, BPJPH encouraged halal supervisors to gain a deeper understanding of critical halal points in the production process.
Halal supervisors are also expected to enhance their ability to effectively oversee the consistent implementation of the HPGS in their respective companies.
With improved competency among halal supervisors, BPJPH hopes that business operators will be able to maintain the quality of production processes sustainably.
