BPJPH Secures WTP Opinion, Stresses Accountability Must Benefit the Public
The Halal Product Assurance Agency (BPJPH) has obtained an Unqualified Opinion (WTP) from the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) for its 2025 Financial Report. This achievement marks a significant milestone for BPJPH and reflects its commitment to accountable, transparent, and responsible state financial governance.
The WTP opinion is documented in the Executive Summary of the 2025 Central Government Financial Report, which includes opinions on the Financial Reports of Ministries/Agencies and the State General Treasurer.
BPJPH Head Ahmad Haikal Hasan stressed that the WTP opinion is not the ultimate goal. He asserted that accountability must be realised through programmes that deliver tangible benefits directly felt by the public.
“Accountability is not just about administrative order and regulatory compliance, but also about the extent to which the programmes we run can answer the needs of the community. Therefore, I always ask all levels of BPJPH to ensure that every programme truly has an impact and is felt by the public,” Haikal said in a statement on Friday (3/7/2026).
Haikal added that this principle aligns with President Prabowo Subianto’s directive that every rupiah of state money be managed effectively, efficiently, and with a results-oriented approach that benefits the people. Consequently, all BPJPH programmes are oriented towards outcomes and impact, rather than merely budget absorption or meeting administrative targets.
“What is more important is how every rupiah of the state budget can be translated into programmes that provide real benefits to the community, as consistently emphasised by President Prabowo,” he stated.
Furthermore, Haikal said this achievement motivates all BPJPH personnel to continue improving the quality of state budget management to be more accountable and beneficial for the public.
“We should be grateful for this achievement, but it also becomes a responsibility to continuously improve the quality of state budget management in the halal product assurance programme with tangible benefits,” he added.
Meanwhile, BPJPH Primary Secretary Muhammad Aqil Irham affirmed that the WTP opinion is the result of strengthened governance systems, internal controls, and the commitment of all work units to maintaining accountability in state financial management.
“Achieving the WTP opinion is an encouragement for us to continue improving the quality of organisational governance. Going forward, we will continue to strengthen planning, implementation, control, and budget reporting so that every BPJPH programme is carried out effectively, efficiently, accountably, and is results-oriented,” Aqil said.
He emphasised that strengthening governance is a crucial foundation for supporting the implementation of higher quality, adaptive Halal Product Assurance that meets the needs of the public and business actors.
“Accountability must be reflected not only in the quality of financial reports, but also in the quality of services and benefits felt by the community. Therefore, we continue to encourage targeted budget management to support the acceleration of halal certification services, strengthening the halal ecosystem, and enhancing the competitiveness of Indonesian business actors,” he said.
With accountable governance, the implementation of Halal Product Assurance is expected to strengthen the halal sector’s contribution to economic growth through increased competitiveness, added value, and market access for business actors.
