BPJPH Holds Technical Training for Functional HR Positions to Strengthen ASN Professionalism

The Halal Product Assurance Organising Agency (BPJPH) organised technical guidance (bimtek) on functional human resource positions for aparatur (SDMA). The event took place on Wednesday (1 April 2026) at the BPJPH Building and was attended by representatives from various work units within BPJPH. The bimtek aims to enhance understanding, competence, and professionalism of civil servants in managing HR, particularly strengthening the role of functional personnel positions. BPJPH’s Main Secretary, Muhammad Aqil Irham, stated that this activity is part of strategic efforts to improve the capacity of civil servants (ASN). “This technical guidance on functional HR positions for aparatur is part of strategic efforts to enhance the capacity and professionalism of ASN, especially in managing civil servant human resources,” said Aqil in a press release received by Kompas.com on Thursday (2 April 2026). He added that through this event, participants are expected to gain a comprehensive understanding of duties, functions, and the implementation of ASN management policies, thereby creating uniformity in perceptions during execution. Meanwhile, the Director of Functional Positions for Civil Servant Management at the State Civil Service Agency (BKN), Sri Gantini, emphasised the importance of strengthening ASN capacity through targeted and sustainable development of functional positions. “As prospective functional civil servant officials, a comprehensive understanding of ASN management is required, including the role as guardians of the merit system. Additionally, it is important to understand the regulations for each functional position,” explained Sri, who attended virtually. In general, she continued, the legal basis for developing functional positions in ASN management is regulated in Law No. 20 of 2023 on ASN. “Functional positions play a strategic role in supporting organisational performance. Therefore, the development of competence and professionalism in civil servant HR must be carried out continuously,” she said. Through this activity, participants are expected to comprehensively understand regulations, duties, and career development mechanisms in functional personnel positions, enabling them to contribute optimally to supporting BPJPH’s organisational performance.
