BPJPH Clarifies Claims That US Products May Enter Indonesia Without Halal Certification

The head of the Halal Product Assurance Agency (BPJPH), Ahmad Haikal Hasan, has denied claims suggesting that products from the United States are free to enter Indonesia without halal certification.

The official, commonly known as Haikal, refuted the circulating reports that US goods would be exempt from Indonesia’s halal certification requirements.
