BPIP Strengthens Civil Servant Competence Through Coaching and Mentoring
The Pancasila Ideology Development Agency (BPIP) is strengthening the competence development of state civil apparatus (ASN) through coaching and mentoring training as part of efforts to build a sustainable learning culture within the institution. Head of the General and Human Resources Bureau at BPIP, Fitri Suhariyadi, stated that the programme is an implementation of the ASN Corporate University (ASN Corpu) concept, which emphasises continuous learning through a social learning approach. “This programme is designed as part of efforts to strengthen the learning culture within BPIP through a ‘social learning’ approach as an implementation of the ASN Corporate University concept,” Fitri said in a statement in Jakarta on Monday. The training was attended by high-ranking pratama officials, administrators, supervisors, and functional officials at BPIP. The activity was organised in collaboration with the Centre for Leadership and Management Education and Training of the Financial Education and Training Agency (BPPK) at the Ministry of Finance. “Sustainable competence development through coaching and mentoring is key to delivering ASN who are excellent, adaptive, and competitive,” he said. He noted that the method is effective for building character, increasing leadership capacity, and strengthening collaboration in the workplace. The approach is also relevant for guiding ASN from Generation Z to internalise Pancasila values in their daily duties. “With a strong coaching and mentoring culture, we want to build a bureaucracy that is adaptive to change, productive in work, and results-oriented,” he said. BPIP hopes that all training participants can apply coaching and mentoring practices in their respective work units to create a sustainable learning ecosystem. Through this ecosystem, ASN talent development is expected to proceed more rapidly while strengthening the organisation’s capacity to face future bureaucratic challenges.
