BPIP Proposes Additional Rp 370 Billion Budget to Parliament for Pancasila Ideology Programme
The Pancasila Ideology Development Agency (BPIP) has proposed an additional budget of Rp 370 billion for 2027. The indicative ceiling allocated to BPIP for next year stands at Rp 141,069,079,000 (Rp 141 billion).
This was conveyed by BPIP Head Yudian Wahyudi during a working meeting with Commission XIII of the House of Representatives (DPR RI) in Senayan, Jakarta, on Monday (15/6/2026). Yudian stated that the indicative ceiling of Rp 141 billion is intended for Pancasila development and BPIP’s operational expenditure.
“BPIP has received an indicative ceiling allocation of Rp 141,069,079,000, allocated for the Pancasila Development Programme, or PIP, amounting to Rp 10 billion, and BPIP’s operational expenditure for the 2027 fiscal year of approximately Rp 131 billion,” Yudi said during the meeting.
Nevertheless, Yudi noted that his agency still requires an additional budget of Rp 370,457,677,928 (Rp 370 billion). This budget is allocated for the management programme at Rp 131 billion and the PIP (Pancasila Ideology Development) programme at Rp 239,343,418,338 (Rp 239 billion).
“Allow us to convey that, despite the indicative ceiling allocation mentioned above, an additional budget of Rp 370,457,677,928 is still required,” he said.
The following is the breakdown of the proposed additional budget for BPIP’s management support programme:
Improvement of human resources, state asset/property management, and general and internal facility services: Rp 41,867,074,590
Risk management and oversight: Rp 2,600,000,000
Legal affairs and bureaucratic reform: Rp 13,536,977,000
Programme and performance accountability: Rp 9,814,330,000
Public information disclosure, administration, and secretariat: Rp 58,070,878,000
Data and information technology: Rp 5,225,000,000
The additional BPIP budget allocation is also designated for the Pancasila development programme. Yudi stated that his agency needs Rp 99.9 billion for socialisation and communication of Pancasila mainstreaming activities.
“Strengthening inter-institutional relations, socialisation, communication, and networking amounts to Rp 99,962,770,000 (Rp 99 billion), with priority allocation for Pancasila mainstreaming activities and fostering mutual cooperation in society, as well as socialisation, communication, and recommendations for PIP cultivation,” Yudi said.
“Analysis and harmonisation of laws, advocacy, and regulatory oversight amounts to Rp 24,679,215,303, with priority allocation for analysing and harmonising draft legal products in line with Pancasila values, and overseeing policies and regulations aligned with Pancasila values,” he added.
Furthermore, BPIP also requires a budget of Rp 27 billion for policy assessment and PIP materials. The agency will also allocate Rp 66,161,814,388 (Rp 66 billion) for the implementation of PIP education and training.
“Measurement and evaluation of PIP amounts to Rp 21,301,764,400, with priority allocation for measuring the institutionalisation of Pancasila and measuring the Pancasila actualisation index,” he concluded.
