President Prabowo Subianto is scheduled to serve as the inspecting officer for the Central Pancasila Day Commemoration Ceremony on Monday, 1 June 2026. The event will take place at the Gedung Pancasila Field, Jalan Taman Pejambon, Central Jakarta. The location was chosen to recall that Pancasila was formulated by the nation’s founders at that building. The ceremony is set to begin at approximately 10:00 AM WIB. ‘The President of the Republic of Indonesia will attend in person and act as inspecting officer,’ said Yudian Wahyudi, Head of the Pancasila Ideology Development Agency (BPIP), at the BPIP office in Central Jakarta on Friday, 29 May 2026. In the afternoon at around 5:00 PM WIB, Yudian added, a flag-lowering ceremony will be held without invited guests. Meanwhile, the Pasukan Pengibar Bendera Pusaka (Paskibraka) tasked with the ceremony will form a Pancasila-themed formation. The formation will be led by one commander, with the hoisting of the Red and White Flag carried out by a group of three. ‘This formation is particularly special as it consists of five groups representing each of Pancasila’s five principles,’ Yudian stated. He explained that the formation would be led by a single commander, with the flag-hoisting ceremony conducted by a dedicated group of three. ‘As a guideline for regions, if a local Paskibraka contingent has fewer than 46 members, making it insufficient for a full Pancasila formation, the formation can be adjusted to a single group,’ Yudian said. Furthermore, Yudian noted that the 2026 Pancasila Day commemoration will carry the theme ‘Pancasila, Unifier of the Nation, Foundation of World Peace.’ This theme aligns with the view that Pancasila’s noble values are not only relevant for maintaining national unity but also serve as a solution for achieving global peace. ‘The logo used for this year’s commemoration is our national emblem, the Garuda Pancasila,’ Yudian added.
