The Agency for Pancasila Ideology Development (BPIP) has officially announced 76 names of the 2026 national-level Pasukan Pengibar Bendera Pusaka (Paskibraka) candidates. These individuals represent the nation’s finest sons and daughters from all 38 provinces in Indonesia.

In his speech, the Head of BPIP, Yudian Wahyudi, explained that the agency has completed all stages of the 2026 Paskibraka formation in accordance with the mandate of Presidential Regulation Number 51 of 2022 regarding the Flag Hoisting Troop Programme.

“The BPIP of the Republic of Indonesia has implemented all stages of the formation of the 2026 Paskibraka, in accordance with the mandate of Presidential Regulation Number 51 of 2022 regarding the Flag Hoisting Troop Programme,” said Yudian.

He added that all participants who fought through to the final stage are the nation’s best children, who should be a source of pride for their families, schools, regions, and communities.

“From 119,441 applicants who participated in the selection process across Indonesia, 228 participants from 38 provinces successfully advanced to the central-level verification stage. They are the best young generation who have demonstrated extraordinary capacity, discipline, character, and national spirit,” he stated.

He assessed that the Paskibraka programme is not merely a selection process for flag-hoisting members, but rather part of an effort to cadre future national leaders possessing Pancasila character.

“The Paskibraka programme is the cadre-building of future national leaders with Pancasila character. Therefore, the formation of Paskibraka is a national talent management process of the nation’s best sons and daughters, who are expected in the future to become Indonesian leaders in various fields with Pancasila character,” he remarked.

He emphasised that BPIP continues to strive to improve the quality of Paskibraka formation year after year. One way is by ensuring equal opportunities for all the nation’s best children to participate in the selection, following the formation standards established by BPIP.

The 76 national-level Paskibraka candidates will undergo stages of centralised education and training before performing their duties during the 81st Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia on 17 August 2026.
