The Pancasila Ideology Development Agency (BPIP) has invited all former Presidents and Vice-Presidents to attend the Pancasila Day Ceremony on Monday, 1 June 2026, at the Pancasila Building Field, Jalan Taman Pejambon, Jakarta. Secretary of BPIP Tonny Agung Arifianto stated that the confirmation of their attendance would be announced on Saturday, 30 May 2026. ‘We will confirm exactly who will attend tomorrow, on Saturday,’ Tonny Agung Arifianto said at the BPIP Building in Jakarta on Friday, 29 May 2026. Tonny explained that 405 people have been invited to the ceremony, comprising various dignitaries and government officials. However, the general public cannot attend due to limited space. President Prabowo Subianto will serve as the parade commander for the ceremony. BPIP Chief Yudian Wahyudi stated that the ceremony will commence at 10:00 AM WIB. Yudian said the 2026 Pancasila Day theme is ‘Pancasila: Unifier of the Nation, Foundation of World Peace’. The theme underscores Pancasila’s relevance in preserving national unity and contributing to global peace. ‘This year’s commemoration uses our national emblem, the Garuda Pancasila,’ he added. BPIP has issued Head of BPIP Circular No. 2 of 2026 on Guidelines for Commemorating Pancasila Day 2026. The circular urges all state institutions, ministries, the military (TNI), police (Polri), local governments, educational institutions, and community groups to hoist the Red and White Flag for the entire day of 1 June 2026. BPIP has also urged social welfare activities on 31 May 2026, including blood donations, free health checks, social assistance distribution, affordable markets, community service, environmental inspections, and cleaning of places of worship. BPIP also instructed all civil servants to hold ceremonies in their respective regions. The flag-lowering ceremony will take place at 5:00 PM WIB, conducted briefly and solemnly by Paskibraka without the presence of ceremony participants or invited guests.
