BPIP Chief Leads Pancasila's Birthday Flag-Lowering Ceremony
JAKARTA — The Pancasila Ideology Development Agency (BPIP) held a flag-lowering ceremony for Pancasila’s Birthday at the Pancasila Building in the Foreign Ministry complex, Central Jakarta, on Monday (1 June 2026) afternoon.
BPIP Chief Yudian Wahyudi led the ceremony.
According to BPIP’s YouTube footage, the event began as the Pasukan Pengibar Bendera Pusaka (Paskibraka) assembled in front of the Pancasila Building.
The ceremony commander then entered the field and ordered the formation to stand at ease.
Yudian, as the parade inspector, entered the field and received salutes led by the commander.
Before the ceremony concluded and the formation was dismissed, BPIP read out Decision No. 20 of 2026 concerning the Retirement of Central-Level Pancasila Ambassadors from the 2025 Paskibraka.
Yudian also addressed the Pancasila ambassadors, stating that their duties as Paskibraka members do not end after lowering the replica of the sacred flag during the Independence Day and Pancasila Birthday commemorations.
They are subsequently appointed as Pancasila ambassadors, tasked with setting an example in mainstreaming Pancasila across all aspects of community, national, and state life.
Previously reported, the Pancasila Commemoration Ceremony was held at 10:00 WIB at the Pancasila Building, led directly by President Prabowo Subianto.
Attendees included former fifth President and BPIP Steering Committee Chairman Megawati Soekarnoputri, 10th and 12th Vice President Jusuf Kalla, 13th Vice President Maruf Amin, MPR Chairman Ahmad Muzani, TNI Commander Agus Subiyanto, Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Bahlil Lahadalia, Basic and Secondary Education Minister Abdul Muti, and other ministers from the Merah Putih Cabinet.
