BPI Danantara Partners with Hisense to Explore Technology Investment Cooperation

BPI Danantara and Hisense have officially begun exploring technology investment cooperation through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Kertanegara, Jakarta, on Friday, 15th May 2026. The signing ceremony for this strategic partnership was witnessed directly by the President of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, as reported by Nasional.

This strengthening of partnerships with global industry players is intended to support the national development agenda and boost quality investment in Indonesia. The MoU was signed by the Minister of Investment and Downstreaming, and CEO of BPI Danantara, Rosan Roeslani, Danantara’s CTO, Sigit Puji Santosa, and Chairman of Hisense Group, Jia Shaoqian.

The Secretary of State, Prasetyo Hadi, stated that the meeting, which took place in a warm and productive atmosphere, represents the initial commitment of both parties. The government welcomes this initiative to encourage technology transfer and the creation of new jobs in strategic industrial sectors.

“President Prabowo also witnessed the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between BPI Danantara and Hisense,” said Prasetyo in a statement on Saturday, 16th May 2026.

Through this agreement, the domestic industrial ecosystem is expected to become stronger, and the nation’s competitiveness on the global stage can be sustainably improved.

“The MoU is the first step in exploring cooperation in the field of technology,” Prasetyo continued.

This bilateral relationship in the field of investment is designed to be long-term oriented to provide benefits for both parties.

“President Prabowo welcomed Hisense’s interest in strengthening cooperation with Indonesia, especially in supporting the national development agenda, increasing investment, and strengthening the domestic industrial ecosystem,” said Prasetyo.
