Jakarta – The Downstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Body (BPH Migas) is committed to maintaining the availability and smooth distribution of energy to the nation’s remote regions with a spirit of cooperation during the Islamic month of Ramadhan and Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah/2026 CE.

“The holy month signifies an opportunity to strengthen collaboration whilst reinforcing national energy resilience,” said Head of the Downstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Body Wahyudi Anas in a statement in Jakarta on Saturday.

He stated that the regulator’s role does not end at oversight functions, but also builds synergy among stakeholders to ensure fuel and natural gas distribution runs smoothly and sustainably.

“BPH Migas remains committed to playing a strategic role in national energy resilience and sustainability, whilst building harmonisation among institutions through effective and collaborative public communication with all business entities and stakeholders,” Wahyudi said during the Coordination Meeting for Ramadhan and Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah/2026 CE Monitoring Preparations and Joint Breaking of Fast in Jakarta on Friday (27 February).

Amidst fasting that trains patience and sincerity, the significant responsibility of safeguarding national energy sovereignty remains a top priority.

“Similarly, in overseeing national energy distribution, there is no success achieved alone, but rather through strong synergy between the regulator, business entities, and all stakeholders,” he explained.

On this occasion, Wahyudi expressed appreciation to previous BPH Migas Committee members for their contribution in building a strong regulatory foundation.
