BPH Migas Reveals Latest National Fuel Stock Data, Conditions Declared Safe
The Downstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Agency (BPH Migas) has revealed that national fuel oil (BBM) stocks are in a safe condition. The availability of various types of fuel, ranging from petrol to diesel and avtur, is still considered sufficient to meet public needs.
Head of BPH Migas Wahyudi Anas explained that his party continues to collaborate with the Pertamina Group in ensuring the supply and distribution of fuel, both subsidised and non-subsidised.
‘In accordance with our function and duties, we collaborate with the Pertamina Group in the context of supplying and preparing fuel, both subsidised and non-subsidised,’ he said at the CNBC Indonesia Energy Forum, Jakarta, quoted on Tuesday (30/6/2026).
According to him, the national stock resilience for gasoline type fuel averages around 20 days. Meanwhile, for non-subsidised fuel, stock resilience reaches 30 to 40 days, which is considered to be in good condition.
For gas oil type fuel or diesel, national stocks are continuously maintained at around 18 to 20 days. Wahyudi noted that the diesel supply comes from domestic production, so it does not depend on imports.
‘Next, for the gas oil category, which is diesel, this is popular, populist in the field and consumed by many economic vehicles in the regions, the condition is the same. We continue to maintain it at around 18-20 days. So it is very, very safe,’ he said.
In addition, avtur stocks are also in a safe condition with an average resilience of 35 to 40 days. BPH Migas routinely coordinates with Pertamina Patra Niaga regarding refinery conditions, including maintenance schedules, production capacity, and fuel distribution to ensure supplies are maintained across all regions.
‘Which ones are under maintenance, which ones are producing normally, which ones are splitting up, and production generally alternates. Including for the avtur category, the stock position is also almost an average of 35-40 days, which is quite good,’ he said.
