BPH Migas Inspects Fuel and Household Gas Stocks in Bekasi-Karawang

Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Badan Pengatur Hilir Minyak dan Gas Bumi (BPH Migas) carried out direct inspections at several energy distribution points in Bekasi and Karawang, West Java, during the peak of the 2026 Eid al-Fitr homecoming traffic.

BPH Migas Committee Member Harya Adityawarman stated that the two-day monitoring results indicated that fuel stocks and distribution in the area were safe and sufficient. Bekasi and Karawang serve as strategic routes for travellers heading to Bandung, Central Java, and East Java.

“Over these two days, based on field monitoring, fuel availability is in a safe condition and able to meet public needs, especially during the peak homecoming period. In fact, fuel stocks in the tanks at petrol stations (SPBU) are above 80 per cent,” said Harya Adityawarman, known as Didit, in his statement in Jakarta on Thursday.

This visit highlights the readiness of fuel supplies up to natural gas to support the surge in public mobility ahead of Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah in 2026.

Didit added that supervision is being carried out comprehensively, not only in terms of availability but also covering the volume and quality of fuel received by the public.

Meanwhile, Sales Area Manager for the Karawang Area of PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, Ancala Egah, stated that all distribution outlets along the homecoming routes, both arterial and toll roads, have been prepared with adequate stock support. Additional services such as motorised units and modular facilities have also been mobilised to anticipate spikes in demand.

In addition to SPBU, Didit also took the opportunity to visit the Public Electric Vehicle Charging Station (SPKLU) located at the Karawang SPBU rest area to ensure PT PLN (Persero)’s readiness to serve electric vehicle (EV) users.

Not only fuel, BPH Migas also reviewed household natural gas network (Jargas) services in Pekayon Jaya, South Bekasi.
