BPH Migas: Fuel Queues in Medan and Binjai Dispersed

The Downstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Agency (BPH Migas) has stated that queues of vehicles wanting to refuel at public petrol stations (SPBU) in the Medan and Binjai areas of North Sumatra have been dispersed. Head of BPH Migas Wahyudi Anas, in a statement in Jakarta on Sunday, said efforts to restore fuel distribution in Medan and Binjai have shown positive results. According to him, BPH Migas together with PT Pertamina Patra Niaga continue to strengthen fuel supplies, so that services to the public are returning to normal. Over the past two days, BPH Migas together with Pertamina directly monitored a number of petrol stations in the Medan and Binjai areas. Vehicle queues have begun to decrease and service conditions at petrol stations are also improving. ‘The results of monitoring points that were vulnerable to fuel queue distribution, Alhamdulillah, are now running, dispersed, and normal,’ said Wahyudi while inspecting the Medan Deli petrol station in Medan, North Sumatra, on Saturday (18/7/2026). To maintain smooth distribution, fuel distribution is also strengthened by the addition of spot charter fleets and an increase in the volume of fuel supplies to petrol stations. This step is taken so that stock is maintained and services to the public are not interrupted.
