Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Downstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Body (BPH Migas) states that the distribution of subsidised and state-compensated fuel oil (BBM) in early 2026 remains below the national quota.

Head of BPH Migas, Wahyudi Anas, said that the realisation of distribution in the first 90 days of this year shows a controlled condition.

“The realisation is much lower, at 23.52 percent, meaning the fuel distribution for 2026 is still controlled and the public’s needs are well met,” Wahyudi stated during a hearing with Commission XII of the House of Representatives (DPR RI) in Jakarta on Wednesday.

He detailed that kerosene distribution has reached 24.52 percent of the national quota, while diesel stands at 24.49 percent. Meanwhile, Pertalite distribution is recorded at 23.52 percent of the total quota set by the government.

He added that fuel distribution continues to run smoothly across all regions, including in meeting public needs.

“Public needs remain smooth, and the stock that we will report later is still sufficiently safe and good to serve the community’s economic activities,” he said.

BPH Migas records that national fuel stock resilience is in a safe condition with sufficient availability levels to meet public needs.
