BPH Migas Ensures Safe Stock and Distribution of Fuel in West Java
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Badan Pengatur Hilir Minyak dan Gas Bumi (BPH Migas) has assured that the availability and distribution of Bahan Bakar Minyak (BBM) in West Java is running normally and safely following monitoring at several SPBU fuel stations.
“We want to ensure the availability of BBM stocks and also confirm that every product sold by Assigned Business Entities truly meets the specified standards,” said BPH Migas Committee Member Bambang Hermanto in a statement from Jakarta on Sunday.
He stated that the monitoring was conducted by BPH Migas in Garut, Pangandaran, and Banjar from 30 April to 2 May 2026 to ensure the stocks, quality, and distribution of subsidised BBM.
During the inspection, BPH Migas found operational vehicles from the Garut Regency Environmental Agency (DLH) refuelling with subsidised BBM.
“Vehicles used for transporting waste were refuelling at one of the SPBU stations in the city (Garut). These operational vehicles are entitled to fill up with subsidised diesel, which is in accordance with the regulations,” he said.
He hopes that oversight of subsidised BBM distribution can be continuously strengthened by all stakeholders, given the significant price difference with non-subsidised BBM.
“We hope that all stakeholders will jointly assist in monitoring so that this BBM subsidy is more on target,” Bambang said.
“We urge all consumers and users of two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicles not to engage in panic buying because in the Garut area, BBM stocks are safe and sufficient,” said Jamal.
Support for controlling the distribution of subsidised BBM was also expressed by the National Retailer Association (Hiswana) Migas.
At the operational level, SPBU owner in Garut, Dewi Sri Fitriani, stated that her side has implemented the purchase of subsidised BBM using QR codes in accordance with procedures and conducts data checks before refuelling.
Further monitoring was also carried out in Pangandaran, where one subsidised BBM user, Dodo, claimed that SPBU services are running smoothly without issues.
“SPBU services are very good, there are no obstacles and no problems. The use of QR codes is also implemented smoothly and well,” Dodo revealed.
