Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Badan Pengatur Hilir Minyak dan Gas Bumi (BPH Migas) has assured that the distribution of subsidised fuel (BBM) will become increasingly accurate and targeted towards eligible communities. To achieve this, BPH Migas signed a cooperation agreement (PKS) with the Korps Lalu Lintas Kepolisian Negara Republik Indonesia (Korlantas Polri) and PT Pertamina Patra Niaga. The PKS on the Exchange and Utilisation of Motor Vehicle Data and/or Information in the Regulation and Control of Consumers Using Specific Fuel Types (JBT) and Special Assignment Fuel Types (JBKP) was signed in Semarang, Central Java, on Wednesday (22/4/2026). BPH Migas Head Wahyudi Anas, in his statement in Jakarta on Thursday, conveyed that this cross-sectoral collaboration represents a strategic step in strengthening energy subsidy governance. Wahyudi emphasised that this data integration reinforces BPH Migas’s role in regulating and supervising BBM distribution, while also supporting consumption control through an integrated digital system based on vehicle data. “The single-window data integration managed by Korlantas Polri and utilised jointly forms an important foundation in supporting targeted subsidies, while also enhancing transparency, public service efficiency, and comprehensive oversight of subsidised BBM distribution,” he added. Synergy among BPH Migas, Korlantas Polri, Pertamina Patra Niaga, local governments, and other stakeholders is key to ensuring that subsidised BBM distribution runs precisely on target, benefit, and volume, and can be jointly controlled through an integrated system. The scope of this cooperation includes the exchange and utilisation of motor vehicle data and/or information in regulating and controlling consumers using JBT and JBKP, as well as the utilisation of supporting facilities and infrastructure. Korlantas Polri Head Inspector General of Police Agus Suryo Nugroho stated full support for this data integration, which also serves as an extension and refinement of the ongoing cooperation. He hopes that subsidised BBM distribution will become increasingly targeted and provide optimal benefits to the community. Meanwhile, Pertamina Patra Niaga President Director Mars Ega Legowo Putra stated that integrating vehicle data with the subsidy system is an important step to improve transparency and accuracy, as well as to encourage faster and more precise validation processes. Attendees at the signing event included BPH Migas Committee Members Harya Adityawarman and Fathul Nugroho, PT Jasa Raharja President Director Muhammad Awaluddin, BPH Migas Secretary Patuan Alfon S, and Acting BBM Director of BPH Migas Nuryanti Wijayanti.
