The Downstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Body (BPH Migas) has assured that energy supplies, especially petroleum products (BBM), remain stable amid the heavy traffic flow on the Bogor-Puncak-Cianjur (Bopunjur) route. Member of the BPH Migas Committee, Fathul Nugroho, conducted direct monitoring at several General Fuel Filling Stations (SPBU) that serve as critical points during the surge in vehicle traffic over the Eid al-Fitr 1447 H holiday in 2026.

“BPH Migas is carrying out direct monitoring at SPBUs along strategic routes frequented by the public, including the Jagorawi-Bogor toll road and vice versa, as well as in the City and Regency of Bogor, and SPBUs on the Puncak-Cianjur route. Alhamdulillah, the supply conditions are safe and under control. There are no issues with BBM deliveries or distribution,” he stated in a comment quoted on Tuesday (24/3).

Fathul explained that BBM supplies in the Bopunjur area are provided from the Plumpang BBM Terminal and have been running smoothly to date. This availability is deemed sufficient to meet public needs during mudik flows, return trips, and tourism.

To anticipate requirements at density-prone points, particularly the Puncak-Cianjur route, Pertamina Patra Niaga has prepared the Pertamina Delivery Service (PDS) 135, including BBM motorised units at several strategic points and alternative routes.

“The motorised service tasked with delivering BBM to drivers who run out of fuel is expected to assist the public in need of emergency BBM without having to search for SPBUs amid traffic jams,” he added.

The agency also ensured that BBM quality remains in accordance with regulations. Tests for water content in BBM tanks at SPBUs showed no presence of water in those facilities.

“It is hoped that with these good BBM test results, the public will feel more comfortable and safe in using BBM,” said Fathul.

Although supplies are secure, Fathul advised the public to be wary of traffic conditions on the Puncak route, which implements one-way engineering when vehicle volumes increase.

“Even though BBM availability on the Puncak-Cianjur route is safe, the public should not forget to monitor traffic conditions, which often apply one-way during congestion, to ensure a comfortable journey,” he concluded.

All infrastructure, from BBM Terminals to SPBUs on critical routes, has been prepared 24 hours a day. This is to anticipate increased vehicle density that is predicted to rise.

PERTAMINA urges the public to use energy wisely and according to needs while ensuring BBM supply availability during Eid al-Fitr.
