BPH Migas Ensures Fuel Stock Remains Secure During 2026 Eid Return Flow
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - The Downstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Agency (BPH Migas) has ensured that the availability of fuel oil (BBM) remains maintained throughout Indonesia during the Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijri holiday period. As of 22 March 2026, national fuel reserves are reported to be at safe levels, for both subsidised and non-subsidised types. Distribution from Pertamina’s fuel terminals to the SPBU network is also running normally without significant disruptions. BPH Migas Committee Member Fathul Nugroho emphasised that the government guarantees energy availability during the Eid homecoming and return flow period. “Quality monitoring is also carried out routinely, and the results meet government standards, so it is hoped that the public will feel safe and comfortable,” he added. Therefore, the public is urged to remain calm and not engage in excessive purchases or panic buying. On the other hand, BPH Migas Head Wahyudi Anas, along with his team, is conducting direct field monitoring to ensure optimal fuel distribution, including at several strategic points along the return flow routes. Specifically, inspections were carried out at SPBU 149B and SPBU 125B on the Padalarang–Cileunyi Toll Road (Padaleunyi), West Bandung Regency. “These two SPBUs are quite spacious and comfortable. They serve as transit points for the public travelling during this return flow, both from the Garut, Tasikmalaya, and southern Java regions heading to Bandung or Jakarta. All fuel products are available,” said Wahyudi. Meanwhile, biodiesel consumption has decreased by around 30 per cent in line with operational restrictions on heavy vehicles.
