Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Downstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Agency (BPH Migas) conducted monitoring at the Boyolali Fuel Terminal (FT) in Central Java to ensure the smooth supply of fuel to the public ahead of the 2026 Eid al-Fitr holiday. “Praise be to God, all fuel stocks at FT Boyolali are more than sufficient to meet public activities for mudik and the Lebaran holiday in 2026, and the fuel supply for the mudik route from West Java to Central Java is also ensured to be safe,” said BPH Migas Head Wahyudi Anas in a statement in Jakarta on Friday. FT Boyolali distributes fuel to around 300 petrol stations spread across the Ungaran, Klaten, Greater Solo, up to Pacitan and Ngawi areas. To guarantee smooth distribution, personnel have been placed on 24-hour alert, supported by 117 regular tanker trucks and 14 Power Take-Off (PTO) tanker trucks equipped with dispensers to serve the public at traffic congestion points. Wahyudi stated that overall, FT Boyolali is fully prepared to maintain fuel distribution in Central Java, which deserves appreciation. FT Boyolali has also prepared 59 bag trucks deployed along toll and non-toll routes, tourist clusters, and the main Pantura route, plus 13 modular petrol stations and 21 motorised units to ensure optimal service for the public. During the mudik period, there is a trend of increased fuel consumption, with gasoil recorded at a 9 per cent rise, gasoline at 17 per cent, and Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) at 14.7 per cent. Meanwhile, avtur consumption is monitored to increase by 33 per cent. “Despite the surge, all fuel supplies remain safe and under control,” said Wahyudi. Furthermore, to ensure optimal fuel services for the public, Wahyudi also conducted direct monitoring at several General Fuel Filling Stations (SPBU) in the Boyolali and Solo areas on Thursday (19/3). While visiting one SPBU located on the Boyolali-Klaten alternative road, Wahyudi checked the fuel availability in the storage tanks using Automatic Tank Gauging (ATG). From this monitoring, a 12 per cent increase in fuel distribution was recorded, considering the many commercial vehicles and inter-provincial buses passing through. “Nevertheless, mudik travellers passing this SPBU need not worry because the stock here is at 80 per cent to 90 per cent of capacity, so we ensure that services for the public are guaranteed safe, God willing,” he emphasised. The monitoring continued to Solo city to directly review the readiness of fuel stocks and services at an SPBU located on Jalan Raya Semarang – Solo, which serves as a central crossing point for mudik travellers. Wahyudi explained that this direct monitoring is an effort to ensure energy availability for the public in facing the peak mudik flow of the holiday, while also ensuring that subsidised fuel distribution remains on target and transparent for all levels of society. Meanwhile, Executive General Manager of Pertamina Patra Niaga Central Java Region Fanda Chrismianto said that overall, fuel distribution during the 2026 Eid al-Fitr period is running smoothly. His side continues to conduct intensive consolidation, coordination, and communication with various stakeholders, from police, toll road managers, to local governments. This synergy aims to ensure quick and precise handling if operational disruptions occur in the field.
