Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Badan Pengatur Hilir Minyak dan Gas Bumi (BPH Migas) has stated that national energy supplies, particularly fuel oil (BBM), are in a very secure condition to meet demand during the return flow from Eid al-Fitr homecoming travels. “As the return flow approaches, BPH Migas reiterates that national BBM stocks are in a very secure condition,” said BPH Migas Committee Member Fathul Nugroho when contacted by ANTARA in Jakarta on Monday. Fathul urged the public to remain calm and avoid panic buying. He also requested that people utilise the Pertamina Delivery Service (PDS) 135 if they need emergency fuel during their journeys. Furthermore, he explained that as of 22 March 2026, national BBM stock resilience is in a very adequate condition, for both subsidised and non-subsidised fuel. “Distribution from Pertamina’s BBM terminals to various petrol stations (SPBU) is running smoothly without obstacles, ensuring the public is well served,” he said. Fathul added that BBM quality monitoring is routinely conducted. The results of this monitoring show compliance with government standards, so it is hoped that the public feels safe and comfortable. In addition to national monitoring, BPH Migas has also ensured BBM supply resilience on Kalimantan Island is secure. Specifically in West Kalimantan, since the night of Takbiran on 20 March 2026, BBM supplies to SPBU have been continuously increased as a follow-up to the National ESDM Sector Coordination Meeting for Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr (RAFI) 2026. Several SPBU in Pontianak City are also operating 24 hours to reduce queues. Based on monitoring as of 22 March 2026, vehicle queue conditions are gradually improving. “These steps are expected to maintain public comfort, especially during the homecoming and return flows,” said Fathul. According to Sales Area Manager of Pertamina Patra Niaga West Kalimantan Widhi Tri Adhi Hidayat, BBM distribution conditions in the West Kalimantan region as of 23 March 2026 are generally running safely and smoothly. Areas that previously experienced long queues due to spikes in demand and panic buying are now gradually returning to normal. “Queue conditions at various SPBU in Pontianak City and Kubu Raya Regency are already normal, while in Mempawah Regency, Singkawang City, and Bengkayang Regency they are moderate, and efforts are ongoing to reduce queues that are still relatively dense in Sambas Regency and Landak Regency,” said Widhi. During the Satgas period from 9–22 March, BBM distribution was recorded at an average of 2,749 KL per day for Pertalite and Pertamax Series petrol (up 19.8 percent from normal, with a peak increase of 54 percent on 20 March) and 1,420 KL/day for Solar (down 3.7 percent from normal, with the highest increase of 20 percent on 18 March). “PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Regional Kalimantan ensures smooth supplies to SPBU with additional tanker trucks and 24-hour operations at the Pontianak IT,” said Widhi.
