The Plantation Fund Management Agency (BPDP) participated in the Jakarta Fiscal Forum (JFF) 2026, organised by the Directorate General of Treasury’s Regional Office for DKI Jakarta Province. The event served as a platform for dialogue and collaboration among various stakeholders to strengthen the role of fiscal policy in driving economic growth and sustainable development. Carrying the theme ‘Fiscal Support for Economic Growth and Sustainable Development of Jakarta as a Global City’, the forum, held at the Jusuf Anwar Building within the Ministry of Finance complex in Central Jakarta, brought together central government elements, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government, academics, practitioners, businesses, and various related institutions. Director General of Treasury, Astera Primanto Bhakti, opened the event. The forum also featured the Coordinator of the Special Staff for the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Firdaus Ali, as a keynote speaker, alongside the Head of the DJPb Regional Office for DKI Jakarta, M. Syaibani, and representatives from ministries, agencies, academia, and the business sector. BPDP’s participation in this forum is part of its efforts to strengthen cross-sector synergy in supporting the national sustainable development agenda. As a Public Service Agency under the Ministry of Finance, BPDP runs several strategic programmes to support the plantation sector, ranging from biodiesel initiatives, smallholder oil palm replanting, and human resource development to research, promotion, and the provision of plantation facilities and infrastructure. The Director of Legal Affairs and Cooperation at BPDP stated that the Jakarta Fiscal Forum 2026 was a crucial moment to expand cooperation networks while highlighting the plantation sector’s contribution to the national economy. He noted that the sector contributes significantly to national development through economic value creation, human resource development, and support for energy security and sustainable development. During the forum, BPDP also introduced various strategic programmes aimed at increasing the added value of plantation commodities, strengthening the grassroots economy, supporting renewable energy development, and promoting sustainable plantation sector growth. Through these programmes, BPDP seeks to reinforce the plantation sector’s role as a pillar of the national economy while supporting sustainable development targets. The agency is committed to expanding collaboration with the government, businesses, academics, and the community to ensure its programmes deliver wider benefits.
