The Plantation Fund Management Agency (BPDP) is leveraging the Jakarta Fiscal Forum (JFF) 2026 to enhance the plantation sector’s contribution to national development. BPDP Director of Law and Cooperation Pangihutan Siagian stated that JFF 2026 is a strategic moment to expand cooperation networks and introduce the plantation sector’s contributions to various stakeholders. “JFF 2026 is a strategic space for BPDP to strengthen cross-sector collaboration while introducing various plantation development programmes to a wider audience,” he said in a statement in Jakarta on Friday. Through this participation, the agency aims to demonstrate that the plantation sector makes a significant contribution to the national economy, from creating added value and developing human resources to supporting energy security and sustainable development. “We hope this forum can open up broader cooperation opportunities with various stakeholders to drive greater benefits for the community,” he added. JFF 2026, organised by the Directorate General of Treasury’s Regional Office of the Ministry of Finance in DKI Jakarta at the Ministry of Finance building, serves as a space for dialogue and collaboration among stakeholders to strengthen the role of fiscal policy in supporting economic growth and sustainable development. Carrying the theme “Fiscal Support for Economic Growth and Sustainable Development of Jakarta as a Global City”, JFF 2026 brought together stakeholders from the central government, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government, academics, practitioners, the business community, and related institutions to discuss strategic development issues, including sustainable resource management and economic value creation. “BPDP’s participation in this forum is part of the institution’s commitment to continuously strengthen synergy and cross-sector collaboration in supporting the national sustainable development agenda,” Pangihutan said. As a Public Service Agency under the Ministry of Finance, BPDP plays a strategic role in advancing the plantation sector through various programmes, including biodiesel development, smallholder oil palm replanting, human resource development, research, promotion, and the provision of plantation facilities and infrastructure. Through its participation in JFF 2026, BPDP also introduced various strategic programmes that have been implemented to support the added value of plantation commodities, strengthen the people’s economy, develop renewable energy, and promote sustainable plantation sector development. “Going forward, we will continue to strengthen collaboration with various parties to ensure that the programmes implemented can provide broader benefits for the community while supporting the achievement of inclusive and sustainable national development goals,” he said.
