BPDP: Lampung Smallholder Oil Palm Replanting Disbursement Totals Rp156.4 Billion
BPDP said that the disbursement under the rakyat palm oil replanting programme (PSR) in Lampung Province totalled Rp156.4 billion during the period 2016-2026. Nationally, in the 2016-2026 PSR disbursement, the province with the largest disbursement is South Sumatra with Rp2.05 trillion; Lampung posted Rp156.4 billion. The director of Finance, General Affairs, Compliance and Risk Management of the Palm Oil Plantation Fund Management Agency (BPDP), Zaid Burhan Ibrahim, said this in Bandarlampung on Thursday. He noted that the land area targeted for the PSR in Lampung is 4,518.86 hectares. “With the number of smallholders in Lampung receiving the programme amounting to 2,552 people,” he said. He explained that the total number of PSR implementation sites in Lampung Province reaches 48 sites located in regencies and cities. “Detailed by district: Mesuji district has one site; Lampung Selatan two sites; Tulang Bawang Barat three sites; Pesawaran three sites; Lampung Utara three sites; Tulang Bawang six sites; Lampung Tengah fourteen sites; and Waykanan sixteen sites.”The rakyat palm oil replanting is targeted to increase productivity of smallholder plantations, and the national potential for this programme is 2 million hectares of potential oil palm land,” he said. The rakyat palm oil replanting programme is for smallholder palm oil planters, both plasma and independent, who are part of a growers’ institution in the form of farmer groups (Poktan), cooperatives, farmer group associations (Gapoktan), or other grower institutions that possess land legality. “The criteria for grower institutions are members of at least 20 persons or land at least 50 hectares within a maximum inter-plot distance of 10 kilometres. For the crop criteria, palms must be at least 25 years old, productivity not exceeding 10 tonnes of fresh fruit bunch per hectare per year for plantations at least seven years old, and the plantation must not use superior seeds,” he added. He stated that PSR funds are disbursed at Rp60 million per hectare with a maximum of four hectares per person, disbursed in two installments. “There are two PSR submission channels: through the official channel and through partnerships.”
