BPDP Commitment to Elevate Indonesian Palm Oil SMEs
The Oil Palm Plantation Fund Management Agency (BPDP) has reaffirmed its commitment to advancing the national palm oil industry by receiving two prestigious awards at the Sawit Indonesia Expo & Conference (SIEXPO) 2026, held at the COEX Convention and Exhibition Center in Pekanbaru, Riau, from 6 to 8 August 2026. The awards were presented by Minister of National Development Planning/Head of Bappenas Rachmat Pambudy to BPDP, represented by the Head of the Community Partnership and SME Division, Helmi Muhansyah. The accolades recognise BPDP’s performance and tangible contributions, particularly in the category of SME programme support in the Riau region and Best Hospitality. This recognition reflects the hard work of the entire BPDP team in delivering excellent service and a sustained commitment to strengthening the palm oil commodity ecosystem from upstream to downstream. Helmi Muhansyah expressed pride and deep appreciation for the awards, stating that BPDP will continue to work hard, support, and collaborate for the advancement of Indonesian palm oil. BPDP further emphasised its strategic focus on strengthening the role of micro, small, and medium enterprises in the palm oil plantation industry, opening wide opportunities for collaboration so that local businesses can continue to grow and become highly competitive. The ultimate goal is to contribute to the government’s efforts to drive national economic growth to 8 per cent, as targeted by President Prabowo Subianto. Through continued synergy with various parties, BPDP is optimistic about steering the Indonesian palm oil industry towards a more inclusive and sustainable direction, generating a positive economic impact for businesses across the regions.
