BPDLH Allocates Rp20.34 Billion to Four Low-Carbon Development Projects
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Environmental Fund Management Agency (BPDLH) has allocated funding support worth Rp20,339,202,993 (Rp20.34 billion) to four low-carbon development projects under the Low Carbon Development Initiative – Innovation and Technology Fund (LCDI-ITF). This amount is equivalent to 934,585.76 British Pounds (GBP) based on the lowest exchange rate according to Oanda from 5 September 2025 to 4 March 2026, or 180 days. BPDLH Chief Executive Joko Tri Haryanto stated during the Signing Ceremony for Cooperation Agreements between BPDLH and LCDI-ITF Project Beneficiaries in Jakarta on Tuesday that the four projects are targeted to contribute to economic growth, emission reductions, and quality improvements. The four beneficiaries are the Faculty of Animal Husbandry at Hasanuddin University, PT Venambak Kail Dipantara, PT Sinar Hijau Ventures, and PT Jejak Enviro Teknologi. The Faculty of Animal Husbandry at Hasanuddin University received funding of Rp5,003,199,360 (over Rp5 billion) or 229,893.18 GBP for the proposal on integrated maggot and Alope chicken technology waste management to support the circular economy in Makassar City, South Sulawesi. PT Venambak Kail Dipantara received Rp4,999,870,500 (Rp5 billion) or 229,743.90 GBP for the proposal on climate-smart traditional shrimp farming plus integrated solar energy nursery ponds in Sumbawa Regency, West Nusa Tenggara. PT Sinar Hijau Ventures received Rp5,002,063,133 (over Rp5 billion) or 229,844.65 GBP for the SIRKULA proposal – a sustainable spice technology innovation system to enhance services and market access in West Seram Regency, Maluku. Meanwhile, PT Jejak Enviro Teknologi received Rp5,334,150,000 (over Rp5.33 billion) or 245,104.03 GBP for the proposal on implementing Advanced AWD (Alternate Wetting and Drying) through an integrated vertical rotary nursery and greenhouse system for rice agriculture decarbonisation in Bogor Regency, West Java. The LCDI-ITF funding will be disbursed in three payment tranches. Payments for tranches two and three will be made after evaluation of the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) from the previous tranche. The four projects were selected through the Stage 1 Call for Proposals (CFP) for the LCDI-ITF Project, conducted from 2 December 2025 to 2 January 2026.
