BPD Bali Wins Award for Sustainable MSME Development
Bank BPD Bali has achieved the Commendable Business Programme Award in the category of Regional Bank Driving Sustainable MSMEs at the detikBali-Nusra Awards 2026. The award was received by Bank BPD Bali Business Director, I Nyoman Sumanaya, representing President Director I Nyoman Sudharma, at The Trans Resort Bali on Friday (3/7/2026).
This award was presented as a form of appreciation for BPD Bali’s commitment to driving regional economic growth through the sustainable distribution of financing for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).
BPD Bali was recognised for its consistency in acting as an economic driver through the distribution of People’s Business Credit (KUR) and productive sector loans. These efforts not only expand access to financing but also encourage MSMEs to scale up through business mentoring, digitalisation, and the implementation of green finance principles, specifically Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG).
Throughout 2025, BPD Bali distributed KUR amounting to Rp 1.768 trillion to 8,946 debtors spread across Bali. This distribution has assisted thousands of MSME players in obtaining additional working capital and investment to expand their businesses.
In addition to financing, BPD Bali is also actively accelerating MSME digitalisation. This is being achieved through the expanded use of the Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard (QRIS), the provision of non-cash payment services, and support for the digitalisation of traditional markets and home industries to enable them to reach wider markets.
BPD Bali’s contribution extends to various strategic sectors, ranging from agriculture and fisheries to creative industries and local crafts. This support is considered instrumental in creating jobs and driving a sustainable regional economic transformation.
Furthermore, BPD Bali provides mentoring, financial literacy, and business management training to MSME players to enhance their competitiveness amidst modern market developments.
The detikBali-Nusra Awards 2026 is an appreciation event organised by detikBali to honour figures, institutions, communities, and business actors deemed innovative and contributing significantly to the progress of Bali and the Nusa Tenggara region.
The awards are presented to various parties judged to have successfully driven development, economic growth, and social strengthening in the region through impactful programmes and innovations.
In this year’s edition, the detikBali-Nusra Awards 2026 features six award categories: Commendable Development Innovation Programme, Commendable Economic Programme, Commendable Business Programme, Progress Accelerator Figure, Leading Driver Community, and the Adiluhung Award.
Through these awards, detikBali hopes to encourage the emergence of more innovation and collaboration that contributes to sustainable development in Bali and Nusa Tenggara.
