PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Bali (Bank BPD Bali) continues to strengthen its digital services to drive business growth in 2026, including the provision of QRIS transactions.

Bank BPD Bali Operations Director I Komang Wiratna Jaya said the provision of QRIS services is very important, given that many tourists from various regions have come to rely on QRIS as a safe and convenient transaction tool.

“We continue to develop services and encourage transactions towards cashless. We also already have QRIS and it is cross-border to make it easier for tourists in Bali,” Komang explained at the Regional Bank Summit 2026 Batch 2 with the theme “BPD Strategies to Drive Regional Economic Independence”, Friday (28/8/2026).

According to Komang, regarding QRIS Cross-Border, Bank BPD Bali has already cooperated with several countries and some are still in the exploration stage. Komang confirmed this is being done to make it easier for foreign tourists.

On the other hand, Komang also confirmed that security is a concern to prevent unwanted incidents. Bank BPD Bali is currently developing internet banking for entrepreneurs and MSMEs to make it easier to obtain credit.

“We are building for certain credit segments so that applications in the initial phase can be done online without having to go to a branch and to simplify business processes. The hope is that it will help the public with banking financing needs,” Komang stressed.

Through the QRIS Cross-Border feature, Bank BPD Bali provides ease of cross-country transactions through the BPD Bali Mobile application. Through the QRIS Cross-Border Experience, visitors are introduced to the convenience of QRIS-based payments which are now integrated with six countries in the regional area, namely Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, South Korea, and China.

The presence of this feature makes it even easier for foreign tourists and Balinese people to conduct cross-country transactions directly from their hands.
