BPD Bali Distributes IDR 13.51 Trillion in Loans to MSME Debtors
The Bali Regional Development Bank (BPD Bali) has disbursed IDR 13.51 trillion in productive credit to micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) debtors, representing 52.71 per cent of its total lending of IDR 25.63 trillion as of May 2026. BPD Bali President Director I Nyoman Sudharma stated on Wednesday in Denpasar that MSME credit realisation grew by 12.55 per cent compared to the same period in 2025. The regional government-owned bank’s lending is predominantly directed towards strengthening MSME performance, whilst total credit distribution also grew by 8.46 per cent despite fluctuating business conditions due to global dynamics. The quality of debtors receiving loans remains sound, with the non-performing loan ratio at a low 0.96 per cent as of May 2026. Amidst the global geopolitical situation, the bank recorded positive performance over the first five months of 2026, with assets growing 8.19 per cent to IDR 43.12 trillion and customer deposits rising 5.68 per cent to IDR 35.40 trillion. The bank posted a profit of IDR 670 billion, an increase of 16.50 per cent compared to the same position in 2025. This performance was supported by shareholders comprising regional governments in Bali, which injected capital of IDR 746 billion in 2026, bringing total paid-up capital to IDR 3.63 trillion and core capital to IDR 5.98 trillion as of May. The bank projects it will move up a tier to Bank Group Based on Core Capital (KBMI) 2, with core capital expected to exceed IDR 6 trillion in 2026.
