Bank BPD Bali continues to prove its commitment as a driver of the regional economy through the distribution of Kredit Usaha Rakyat (KUR) financing focused on boosting Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). In 2025, the realisation of Bank BPD Bali’s KUR distribution reached Rp 1.768 trillion, reaching 8,946 debtors across Bali. The services sector dominated the financing with a share of 40.56% of the total distribution. Additionally, Bank BPD Bali prioritised KUR distribution in the production sector. The realisation reached Rp 1.081 trillion, or 61.13% of the total KUR distribution in 2025. “KUR is Bank BPD Bali’s flagship product for financing MSMEs. As of 31 May 2026, the aggregate figure stands at Rp 11.253 trillion with an outstanding balance of Rp 3.588 trillion, or 26.55% of Bank BPD Bali’s total MSME credit distribution of Rp 13.515 trillion,” said Bank BPD Bali President Director I Nyoman Sudharma on Monday (29/6/2026). Sudharma added that the priority on production sectors such as services, agriculture, processing industry, fisheries, and construction is expected to provide a multiplier effect on employment absorption and Bali’s economic growth. Beyond KUR, Bank BPD Bali also offers other programme loans such as KUA (Agricultural Machinery Business Credit), KIPK (Labour-Intensive Industry Credit), KPP (Housing Programme Credit), and KUSUMA Credit (Business Credit for Prosperity, Excellence, and Advancement). As of May 2026, KUSUMA Credit has been realised with a total ceiling of Rp 1.656 trillion and an outstanding balance of Rp 1.362 trillion to 2,841 debtors. “In encouraging MSMEs to upgrade, Bank BPD Bali has also launched the KUSUMA credit product aimed at MSMEs that can no longer access KUR or are subsequently prospected to become commercial debtors with competitive interest rates,” he said. Support for MSMEs does not stop at financing. Bank BPD Bali actively provides mentorship by involving MSMEs in exhibitions to expand market access. Training and capacity building are also routinely held to improve the ability of business actors to manage their businesses. The digitalisation aspect is also a primary focus for Bank BPD Bali to expand the non-cash transaction ecosystem. This concrete step is realised through the optimisation of BPD Bali Mobile services, Bank BPD Bali QRIS, the Balipay electronic wallet, and the expansion of the MaiLaku Agent network to reach business actors in remote areas. This acceleration is balanced with continuous improvement of public financial literacy through the innovative ‘Bank Goes to Banjar’ programme. “This socio-cultural community-based approach allows Bank BPD Bali to be present directly in rural communities to provide education on sound financial management, introduction to banking products, and consumer protection from financial crimes so that MSMEs are ready to face the challenges of digital transformation,” he explained.
