BPD Bali Aims to Boost MSME Credit Growth to 9% in 2026
PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Bali (Bank BPD Bali) continues to drive MSME credit growth to support its business.
Bank BPD Bali’s Operational Director, I Komang Wiratna Jaya, said the bank’s credit growth was only 6.43%, or just 50% of the national growth, but he assured that Bank BPD Bali’s credit growth would be sustainable, particularly in the MSME segment.
“MSME credit grew 6.17% with NPL maintained below 1%, and by the end of next year growth is expected to reach 9% while continuing to maintain quality,” Komang said at the Regional Bank Summit 2026 Batch 2 with the theme “BPD Strategy to Drive Regional Economic Independence”, Friday (28/8/2026).
Bali’s economic growth was recorded at 5.78%, above the national economic growth of 5.29%. Komang acknowledged that Bali’s economy is still supported by the tourism sector, with other industries such as food and beverage and agriculture also contributing.
Therefore, in maintaining business growth, BPD Bali continues to manage its capital flows well. Moreover, in June, BPD Bali had just entered KBMI II.
“Our core capital is already above Rp6 trillion, so we will continue to encourage credit growth, especially MSMEs, which have a market share of 22%,” Komang stressed.
Bank BPD Bali’s core capital currently stands at Rp6.064 trillion and meets the regulatory requirements of the Financial Services Authority (OJK). The upgrade to KBMI II was driven by consistent capital strengthening from regional government capital injections as shareholders, reaching Rp3.63 trillion in June 2026.
The upgrade of Bank BPD Bali is not only interpreted as strengthening the capital structure that will expand room for expansion and increase service capacity, but also reinforces the commitment to continue transforming into a more resilient, inclusive and sustainable driver of the regional economy for the entire community.
