BPBD Temanggung constructs three boreholes to address drought in three villages
The Temanggung District Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) in Temanggung, Central Java, has realised the procurement of three boreholes across several areas to assist in meeting water requirements for the community, particularly in drought-affected regions.
Totok Nursetyanto, Head of Operations at the Temanggung District BPBD, stated on Sunday that the project is currently undergoing maintenance by the contractor before being handed over to village administrations for further action.
βFor now, we are still awaiting the maintenance period from the contractor. The plan is to hand it over to the villages in June for follow-up action,β he said.
He explained that the borehole construction work was carried out up to the stage where water flows out. Meanwhile, the connection of water distribution networks to the community will be carried out by each village.
In addition to the three boreholes already completed, he continued, two additional borehole locations are also planned for this year, namely in Tunggulanom Village (Tlogomulyo District) and Jetis Village (Selopampang District).
He stated that all borehole construction work uses the regional budget allocation, with each project valued below 200 million rupiah.
