BPBD DKI Jakarta informs Angke Hulu flood monitoring post status at Alert Level 1
Jakarta (ANTARA) – The DKI Jakarta Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) has informed that the status of the Angke Hulu monitoring post has risen to Danger or Alert Level 1, in the early hours of Sunday.
According to the BPBD Jakarta X account (@BPBDJakarta), the water level at the Angke Hulu monitoring post was 300 cm at 01:00 local time (WIB), with Alert Level 2.
At 02:00 WIB, the water level rose to 340 cm, with Danger or Alert Level 1.
“Anticipate, in roughly the next three hours, the water will reach the Pintu Air Cengkareng Drain. The areas the river flow will pass through are as follows: Kembangan Selatan, Duri Kosambi, Rawa Buaya, Kembangan Utara, Kedaung Kaliangke, Cengkareng Timur, Kapuk, Kapuk Muara, and Kamal Muara,” wrote BPBD in its official X account @BPBDJakarta.
At present, the Angke Hulu monitoring post is at Alert Level 1 with rainy weather.
BPBD DKI Jakarta has disseminated information via social media, Disaster Early Warning Systems, and notifications to sub-district heads (camat) and village heads (lurah) about the rise in status of the Angke Hulu monitoring post.
In emergencies, the public is urged to contact the Jakarta Siaga call centre at 112.
Other gate locations, namely Pasar Ikan, Pintu Air Karet, and Pos Sunter Hulu, are reported at Alert Level 2. Meanwhile Manggarai Banjir Kanal Barat (BKB) is reported at Watch or Alert Level 3.
Other gate locations include Katulampa, Depok, Krukut Hulu, Pesanggrahan, Waduk Pluit, Cipinang Hulu, and Pulo Gadung are reported at normal or Alert Level 4.
