BPA Fair 2026 Auctions State Assets, Including Land, Sports Cars, and Gold Paintings

The Indonesian Attorney General’s Office’s Asset Recovery Agency (BPA) is making a major breakthrough in legal transparency by launching BPA FAIR 2026. The event, set to be held for the first time from 18-22 May 2026, aims to restore public trust through accountable management of seized assets. Under the theme “Asset Recovery for the Perfection of Justice”, BPA is offering more than 400 items of state-confiscated assets with high economic value. While 10 per cent consists of immovable assets like land, the majority—90 per cent—are movable assets, such as sports cars, collections of luxury bags, jewellery, and rare gold paintings. All are open to the public through a digital auction mechanism. For a long time, the fate of seized goods after a court decision with final legal force has been a major question in the public’s mind. Are these assets left idle, depreciating in value, or even misused? Head of the Legal Information Centre (Kapuspenkum) of the Attorney General’s Office, Anang Supriatna, emphasised that BPA FAIR 2026 is the answer to such doubts. Education is the main pillar of this event. The public is invited to understand that recovering state losses is a long process involving asset maintenance so that when auctioned, their value does not fall due to depreciation. Head of BPA, Kuntadi, explained that this week-long activity is a new milestone in the history of asset recovery in Indonesia. These assets come from various types of cases, from mega-corruption to general criminal offences and illegal investment (trading) cases that once captured public attention. “Through this activity, we want to answer the public’s questions about where seized assets go after the case is resolved. We are opening this process transparently so the public can understand and participate,” Kuntadi told Kompas.com. The initial estimated value of the movable assets to be auctioned exceeds Rp 100 billion. Some items predicted to be highly sought after include collections of sports cars from various renowned brands and unique paintings using pure gold material.
