BPA Ensures Auctioned Goods at BPA Fair are Free of Legal Issues
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Indonesian Attorney General’s Office’s Asset Recovery Agency (BPA) has ensured that goods auctioned at the BPA Fair are free from legal complications, so the public can purchase them without hesitation.
“The public must understand that buying our goods does not mean buying problematic items, but rather goods whose legal issues have been fully resolved,” said Kuntadi, Chairman of the BPA, at the BPA Building in East Jakarta on Monday.
He also assured that the condition of the auctioned goods is well-maintained. He added that purchasing auction items is equivalent to assisting the state in the management of confiscated assets, the proceeds of which will be deposited into the state treasury to fund development.
“This is an ecosystem that must not be disrupted, and we will continue to promote it,” he stated.
On the same occasion, the Junior Attorney General for Supervision (Jamwas) of the Attorney General’s Office, Rudi Margono, stated that as the supervisory body, his office is responsible not only for enforcement but also as a guarantor of quality.
“Today we are witnessing efforts to ensure that the series of case handling activities does not stop at the execution of convicts, but must also include the execution of confiscated goods to ensure asset recovery in accordance with Article 30 A of the Attorney General’s Office Law Number 11 of 2021,” he said.
He also encouraged auction winners to not only receive the auction minutes but also to be legally assisted in the processing of item documentation.
“Therefore, I am also encouraging the State Assets and Auction Service Office (KPKLN) to collaborate, so that after the auction, the auction minutes are processed effectively, ensuring speed, comfort, and a prime pattern for auction winners in the community,” he noted.
The Indonesian Attorney General’s Office’s BPA is holding the BPA Fair, which officially opened today and will run until 21 May 2026. The event features a variety of items for auction, ranging from luxury cars and motorcycles to jewellery, luxury handbags, and gold paintings.
