BP Ultimate Diesel Price Increase: Filling Up a GWM Tank 300 Nearly Costs Rp 2.5 Million

JAKARTA – Private fuel provider BP-AKR has officially increased the price of BP Ultimate Diesel to Rp 30,890 per litre in May 2026. This rise is significant, amounting to more than Rp 5,000 per litre compared to the previous month, when it was still at Rp 25,560 per litre. As an illustration, one of the affected diesel SUVs is the Tank 300 diesel. This vehicle uses a diesel engine with a variable-geometry turbocharger (VGT) that produces a maximum power of 135 kW or equivalent to 184 PS, as well as a peak torque of 480 Nm. The engine, coded E20NA 2.0T, has a capacity of 2,370 cc and is paired with a 78-litre fuel tank, meaning the cost of a full fill-up will be impacted by the fuel price increase. Meanwhile, at the old price of Rp 25,560 per litre, the full tank cost was around Rp 1,993,680. This means there is a difference of about Rp 415,740 for a single full fill-up, a substantial amount for regular use.
