BP Tapera Reveals Online Motorcycle Taxi Partners Can Access Zero Down Payment Mortgages
BP Tapera has revealed that a zero down payment scheme is available to online motorcycle taxi partners from Gojek who have an income but do not yet own a home. The policy represents the government’s commitment to supporting workers in the informal sector.
Deputy Commissioner for Fund Utilisation at BP Tapera, Sid Herdi Kusuma, stated that Gojek driver-partners who meet the requirements have the opportunity to own their first home through the Sejahtera Mortgage scheme under the Housing Financing Liquidity Facility (FLPP) with a zero down payment facility.
‘Through this cooperation, Gojek driver-partners who qualify as low-income communities can access mortgages with a zero down payment,’ Sid Herdi said in Jakarta on Friday, following the signing of a Cooperation Agreement between BP Tapera and PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk regarding the Housing Programme for Gojek Driver-Partners.
He noted that the cooperation, which will run until 2027, is expected to reach many Gojek driver-partners across various regions, thereby broadening the benefits of the government’s housing programme. Support for low-income communities is also being strengthened through government policies in the financial services sector, with adjustments to the Financial Information Service System by the Financial Services Authority providing greater opportunities for the public to access housing finance, including through the priority Three Million Homes programme.
‘With the zero down payment scheme, Gojek driver-partners who pass verification and meet banking requirements can obtain subsidised FLPP mortgages without needing to provide a down payment, making the process towards first-time home ownership easier and more affordable,’ he said.
Sid Herdi added that as of 2 July 2026, BP Tapera had realised the distribution of FLPP for 93,339 housing units with a total financing value of IDR 11.60 trillion. Of this total, the largest group of beneficiaries were private sector employees at 61,126 units or 65.49 percent, followed by entrepreneurs at 15,890 units or 17.02 percent, civil servants at 7,643 units or 8.19 percent, and military and police personnel at 1,394 units or 1.49 percent. This achievement demonstrates that the FLPP programme is increasingly able to reach various community groups, including informal sector workers who previously had limited access to formal housing finance.
