BP Tapera: Mass mortgage contract for subsidised housing in Batang to involve MSMEs

The Public Housing Savings Agency (BP Tapera) has revealed that a mass mortgage contract (KPR) event in Batang, Central Java, will involve micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). “We continue to finalise the plans, including involving MSMEs. There will be 60 MSMEs participating, so that the community attending the mass contract event can be entertained and enjoy MSME offerings,” said BP Tapera Commissioner Heru Pudyo Nugroho in Jakarta on Monday. BP Tapera is continuing to mature plans for the mass contract and key handover of around 62,000 units of the Sejahtera Housing Finance Liquidity Facility (FLPP) mortgage, scheduled to take place on 30 July 2026 in Batang Regency, Central Java. BP Tapera is continuously coordinating with various related parties, including the Batang Regency Government, regarding supporting facilities and infrastructure. “It is ongoing, and we are about to hold another meeting. So preparations on the ground are being continuously matured with the local government, especially Batang Regency, to provide supporting facilities and infrastructure such as road access, as well as access for the President’s landing and so on,” Heru said. The mass mortgage contract event is being carried out by BP Tapera together with the Ministry of Housing and Settlement Areas as part of accelerating the 3 Million Houses Programme. The event will involve around 200 debtors in person at the location and 61,800 debtors online across 36 provinces, involving 43 banks distributing the Sejahtera FLPP mortgage. Previously, in September and December 2025, BP Tapera held two similar mass contract events attended directly by the President of Indonesia, located in Cileungsi, Bogor, and Serang. BP Tapera hopes that the momentum of the mass contract will not only symbolise the acceleration of housing finance distribution but also demonstrate the strong collaboration between the government, banks, developer associations, and all stakeholders in supporting the provision of decent housing for low-income communities. BP Tapera will continue to improve service quality, strengthen the governance of housing finance distribution, and expand collaboration with all partners to support the success of the 3 Million Houses Programme and realise decent, affordable, and sustainable housing for the Indonesian people.
