BP Tapera Expands Home Ownership Access for Low-Income Communities via FLPP
The Public Housing Savings Agency (BP Tapera) will continue to strengthen collaboration with all stakeholders to ensure the distribution of the Housing Financing Liquidity Facility (FLPP) mortgage programme is more targeted. BP Tapera remains committed to carrying out the government’s mandate to expand access to home ownership for low-income communities (MBR). One of the policies designed to facilitate this is the extension of the FLPP mortgage financing tenor from a maximum of 20 years to up to 40 years. With a longer tenor, monthly instalments become more affordable, enabling more low-income families to realise their dream of owning their first home. For East Java Province, the government has prepared a quota of approximately 50,000 subsidised housing units for 2026. As of 3 July 2026, the realisation of FLPP mortgage distribution managed by BP Tapera has reached 97,421 housing units, supported by 36 distributing banks, 22 developer associations, and 11,124 developers across 35 provinces and 378 regencies/cities throughout Indonesia.
