BP BUMN urges Bank Mandiri Taspen (Bank Mantap) to strengthen its role in building a pension financial ecosystem for retirees and the elderly in Indonesia.

“A fully integrated pension financial ecosystem is essential to deliver more adaptive, inclusive, and sustainable services,” said Dony Oskaria, Head of BP BUMN and COO of Danantara Indonesia, in Jakarta on Tuesday.

Serving over 656,000 pensioner clients, Bank Mantap is directed not only to provide banking services but also to become a key component of a more integrated, modern, and sustainable pension fund management ecosystem.

The efforts to strengthen this were discussed in a meeting between Dony and the bank’s board of directors and commissioners.

Held on Monday (26/5/2026), the meeting covered the company’s performance and the future direction of Bank Mantap’s business transformation.

Developing more inclusive financial services for pensioners was part of the meeting’s agenda.

Bank Mantap is also urged to strengthen a more adaptive business model for senior citizens’ needs, including pension service development, accelerating digital transformation, enhancing funding and lending products, and expanding collaboration within the BUMN ecosystem.

This step is deemed crucial to provide comprehensive, accessible, and relevant financial services for pensioners across various regions.

Through its 2026-2030 transformation roadmap, Bank Mantap is expected to solidify its position as a key pillar in the national pension financial ecosystem.

With stronger business transformation and service integration support, Bank Mantap aims to become a financial institution that is increasingly adaptive, sustainable, and responsive to the needs of Indonesia’s senior citizens.
