BP BUMN and Danantara are accelerating the streamlining of Telkom Group by reducing its 67 subsidiaries to 19 entities by the end of 2026 to strengthen its role as a national digital strategic holding.

“This transformation is crucial to sharpen business focus and ensure Telkom Group operates more agilely in response to the needs of the national digital ecosystem,” said BP BUMN Chief and Danantara COO Dony Oskaria in a statement confirmed by ANTARA from Jakarta on Monday.

Dony met with PT Telkom Indonesia’s Director of Strategic Business Development & Portfolio, Seno Soemadji, at Danantara House in Jakarta on Monday to discuss progress on streamlining and business transformation within Telkom Group.

During the meeting, Telkom outlined several strategic steps underway, including mergers, divestments, liquidations, business consolidations, and the creation of new enterprise holdings.

These steps aim to reinforce digital business and national telecommunications infrastructure focus amid an increasingly competitive industry landscape.

Dony emphasised that Telkom Group’s transformation and streamlining are vital for strengthening business focus and enhancing competitiveness in the rapidly evolving digital industry.

As part of this transformation agenda, priority programmes are being expedited, including the consolidation of FiberCo BUMN, development of Data Centers, TowerCo, and InfraCo, along with licensing restructuring for Telkom Group to support its transition to a more adaptive and globally competitive digital strategic holding.

Through this transformation, BP BUMN and Danantara continue to drive improved governance, asset optimisation, and consolidation of the national digital ecosystem, ensuring state-owned enterprises become more agile, healthy, and capable of driving Indonesia’s digital economy forward.
