BP BUMN Strengthens Capital Market Confidence Through Himbara
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Head of BP BUMN and COO of Danantara Dony Oskaria is enhancing confidence in the Indonesian capital market by strengthening the fundamentals of state-owned enterprises (SOEs), including the Association of State-Owned Banks (Himbara). “Investor confidence is an important capital for healthy and sustainable capital market growth. Therefore, strengthening corporate fundamentals and governance must remain a priority,” Dony stated in an official release confirmed by ANTARA from Jakarta on Tuesday. Strengthening SOE fundamentals is pursued by optimising company value, increasing investor confidence, and exploring various corporate options that can support market stability and maintain the attractiveness of investment in Indonesia. The capital market plays a strategic role in supporting national economic growth, financing development, and creating value for companies and investors. Amid global market dynamics, strengthening corporate fundamentals, investor confidence and financial market stability are important factors in maintaining Indonesia’s economic competitiveness. Based on data from the Indonesia Stock Exchange, SOEs and Himbara member companies remain major contributors to market capitalisation and have recorded solid fundamental performance. Regarding market dynamics, Dony attended a meeting led by Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Sufmi Dasco Ahmad together with government officials, regulators, and leaders of state-owned banks on Tuesday (9/6) to discuss various measures to strengthen the national capital market and increase investor confidence in Indonesia’s strategic companies. This step is part of a joint effort to ensure that the Indonesian capital market remains healthy, competitive, and capable of providing added value for the national economy. Synergy between the government, SOEs, regulators, and market participants continues to be strengthened to create a financial market that is healthy, resilient and capable of supporting sustainable national economic growth. Through this collaboration, it is hoped that investor confidence in the Indonesian capital market will increase, in line with efforts to strengthen Indonesia’s position as an attractive investment destination in the region.
