Jakarta - The Head of the State-Owned Enterprises Regulation Agency (BP BUMN) and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Danantara, Dony Oskaria, has stated that 180 enterprises under the BUMN umbrella have been reorganised as part of a transformation and realignment to make BUMN more effective, efficient, and focused on core business lines. “To date, 180 companies under the BUMN umbrella have been reorganised through various schemes, including consolidation, restructuring, divestment, and even dissolution,” he said in a press release received in Jakarta on Tuesday. The realignment is part of a comprehensive transformation to simplify corporate structures, reduce overlap in business lines, and ensure each entity has a clear role in creating economic value and supporting the strengthening of national competitiveness. To accelerate the BUMN transformation, Oskaria chaired a meeting with PT Danantara Asset Management to discuss evaluation and acceleration of streamlining BUMN. “Streamlining BUMN must ensure every company focuses on its core business, has strong governance, and is able to deliver tangible added value for the country and its people,” he said. In line with these directives, the focus of the meeting included accelerating the resolution of suboptimal corporate structures, including governance strengthening, sharpening business directions, and asset optimisation. Additionally, structures deemed still overlapping should become more agile, professional, and competitive in facing market dynamics. Through more targeted realignment, state-owned enterprises are expected to become more effective and efficient, operate under professional corporate governance principles, be competitive in the market, and contribute real value to the national treasury and society.
