BP BUMN Prioritises Cleanliness in Toll Road Rest Area Transformation

Jakarta (ANTARA) - BP BUMN Head and Danantara COO Dony Oskaria has stated that cleanliness and tidiness are the top priorities in the transformation of toll road rest areas as part of efforts to improve the quality of public services. “The main thing is cleanliness and tidiness. The principle held by the President is that all our public services must become better,” Dony said in a confirmed statement on Tuesday.

Dony inspected the Travoy Rest Area at KM 88A and KM 88B on the Cipularang Toll Road on Tuesday. The inspection was conducted to observe current conditions and ensure the acceleration of facility development to enhance service quality for road users. The Travoy Rest Area at KM 88A and KM 88B is a high-activity point on the Cipularang Toll Road, serving an average of 7,000 to 10,000 vehicles per day.

The area has been equipped with various facilities, ranging from petrol stations, electric vehicle charging stations, a mosque, and an MSME area, to dozens of tenants, and is being prepared to become a pilot model for rest area transformation with more modern service standards. Through the development of the Travoy Rest Area at KM 88A and KM 88B, BP BUMN and Danantara are encouraging the creation of rest areas that not only function as stopover points but also as comfortable, well-organised public service spaces that provide a better travel experience for the community.

During the visit, Dony reviewed the comprehensive area development plan, which includes spatial arrangement, increased parking capacity, improvement of communal facilities, and the addition of various new services to make the rest area more comfortable, safe, and capable of meeting public needs. Dony emphasised that the improved service standards will not only be applied to state-owned enterprise-managed rest areas but will also serve as a benchmark for other rest area operators.

“We will also inform other rest area operators who are not ours. If they do not want to follow the established standards, we will block and close their access. This is done so that the public can also feel the benefits,” said Dony.
