The State-Owned Enterprise Supervisory Board (BP BUMN) is involving the Association of State-Owned Banks (Himbara) to support the restructuring process of state-owned construction firms, namely PT PP (Persero) Tbk and PT Adhi Karya (Persero) Tbk.

“We learn from experience. This restructuring must be a turning point to build stronger, healthier State-Owned Construction Enterprises with better governance so they can grow sustainably and support national development,” said Head of BP BUMN Dony Oskaria in a statement confirmed by ANTARA from Jakarta on Thursday.

The strengthening of State-Owned Construction Enterprises continues to ensure the companies have healthier fundamentals, increasingly better governance, and are capable of supporting sustainable national infrastructure development.

Restructuring is a strategic step to strengthen the companies’ financial condition, improve business discipline, and ensure that every financing support is provided in a measured way to productive projects with business feasibility.

Therefore, Dony chaired a meeting with the Boards of Directors of Bank Mandiri, BRI, BNI, PT PP (Persero) Tbk, and PT Adhi Karya (Persero) Tbk.

The meeting discussed the restructuring progress of PT PP (Persero) Tbk and PT Adhi Karya (Persero) Tbk, including the financing support scheme from the Association of State-Owned Banks (Himbara) to support the transformation process of both companies.

The discussion focused on formulating a healthy and sustainable financing scheme. Financing support is directed at projects that are productive, commercially viable, and have measurable cash flows to strengthen company performance while maintaining business sustainability.

Beyond the financing aspect, the restructuring is also directed at strengthening corporate governance, improving discipline in risk management, and building a healthier business model.

This process serves as a momentum to ensure every transformation step is carried out in a measured manner, using previous experiences as lessons to strengthen the companies’ foundations going forward.

Through these steps, the State-Owned Construction Enterprises are expected to become more resilient in executing national strategic projects, provide added value to the state, and continue to support the acceleration of infrastructure development that benefits the public.
