BP BUMN-Danantara targets national transport transformation
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Head of BP BUMN and COO of Danantara Indonesia Dony Oskaria, together with Danantara Asset Management (DAM), is targeting a national transport transformation to improve services for the public.
“It is no longer the era for the public to receive poor service. Therefore, all processes need to be continuously evaluated,” Dony said in an official statement confirmed by ANTARA from Jakarta on Thursday.
In his meeting, Dony discussed the formulation of a national connectivity map. The mapping is directed at obtaining a complete picture of assets, nodes, routes, services, and intermodal connections managed by state-owned enterprises.
This step is also part of efforts to identify various missing links, bottlenecks, and potential network overlaps that may affect the effectiveness of national connectivity.
Furthermore, Danantara will carry out data mapping and processing, initial analysis, consultation and validation, as well as the formulation of logistics corridors and pilot projects. This connectivity map is expected to serve as a basis for determining more integrated transport and logistics development steps.
Dony stressed that the transformation of the transport sector cannot be viewed solely from a business perspective, but must also be genuinely felt by the public through improved service quality.
“If this transformation is not felt, then it is pointless, merely a concept on paper,” Dony said.
Similar emphasis was also placed on the importance of improving user experience in transport services.
He asserted that every stage of the journey must be designed comprehensively to provide a better experience for the public, from before departure, during the journey, to arrival at the destination.
“We must ensure that from before departure, for example when boarding a ship, what experience we want to build. Then during the journey, what kind of service passengers should feel. And when arriving at the destination, what needs to be ensured so that the experience remains positive and memorable,” Dony said.
Through integrated mapping and strengthened service quality, intermodal connectivity is expected not only to strengthen the transport and logistics networks of state-owned enterprises, but also to provide more tangible benefits for the public.
This effort is also directed at reducing logistics costs and optimising synergy among state-owned enterprises in building a more connected and efficient national transport ecosystem.
