BP BUMN and Danantara Draft Five-Year Strategy for State-Owned Enterprises
BP BUMN and BPI Danantara are drafting a transformation roadmap for state-owned enterprises through a five-year strategic plan. The effort was undertaken during an internal meeting with Danantara Asset Management (DAM).
Head of BP BUMN and COO of Danantara, Dony Oskaria, stated that the five-year strategic map is being developed in stages, beginning with consolidation and restructuring, followed by strengthening people development and corporate culture, accelerating innovation and technology utilisation, creating value through corporate actions and strategic partnerships, and ultimately achieving global performance targets.
The discussions focused on the implementation stages of the transformation, aligning priorities in each phase, and strategies to ensure all SOEs move in a unified direction towards more modern governance oriented towards value creation.
“Each of these themes will cascade down to all SOE companies. The themes of consolidation, people development, corporate culture, innovation, and value creation must become a shared direction,” Dony said in a written statement on Thursday (6/8/2026).
Through this roadmap, BP BUMN and Danantara are committed to accelerating comprehensive SOE transformation, from strengthening business fundamentals and talent development to technology utilisation and enhancing global competitiveness.
Through these stages, BP BUMN and Danantara are targeting the emergence of Indonesian SOEs that are more resilient, highly competitive, and capable of competing on the world stage, including entering the Fortune 500 list.
“This effort is expected to deliver SOEs that are more efficient and innovative, as well as contributing to economic growth and public welfare,” he concluded.
